Site surveys across Kyiv and Lviv oblasts · Hardiness zones 5b to 6a
A record appears here only after the plot has been surveyed and the planting has gone into the ground. Nothing is published from a render or a concept plan.
Each entry states plot area in sotok, the oblast, the hardiness zone, the survey month and the planting month, alongside a botanical palette of six to ten species. No plant is specified before the site report records soil texture, pH, slope and aspect, measured in summer and in winter. Where the owner agrees, we attach dated photographs from fixed camera points so the same corner can be compared across seasons.

Owner notes
Plot of 12 sotok on a north slope. The owner records that the drainage correction held through the wet spring and the hornbeam screen reached working height by the second season.
Palette: Carpinus betulus, Cornus mas, Geranium macrorrhizum, Hosta 'Frances Williams'.
Results may vary.
Plot above 350 m on an exposed ridge. Winter loss was limited to two lavender plants, replaced in April with juniper on the windward edge.
Palette: Acer campestre, Juniperus sabina, Liriope muscari, Sesleria autumnalis.
Results may vary.
New cottage-settlement plot of 9 sotok, silt loam at pH 6.4. The owner notes that the gravel mulch bed needed one top-up after the first summer of weed pressure.
Palette: Amelanchier lamarckii, Hydrangea paniculata, Alchemilla mollis, Brunnera macrophylla.
Results may vary.
Next step
No plant is specified until the site report records soil texture, pH, slope and aspect, read once in summer and once in winter. Plots in Kyiv oblast at zones 5b to 6a commonly need drainage correction before anything goes into the ground.
