Four contracted stages, one written scope sheet

Every stage on this page is issued as a numbered scope sheet. It states what we deliver, what we measure on site, and what stays outside the contract.

Scope is fixed only after the survey records soil texture, pH, slope and aspect, read once in summer and once in winter. Nothing here is quoted from a photograph. The 4 500 UAH survey fee is credited against the design fee within 60 days.

Service ledger

Four contracted stages, with deliverables, timings and price ranges in UAH.

No plant is specified before the site report records soil texture, pH, slope and aspect, measured in summer and again in winter. Each stage is contracted on its own, so the work can stop after any one of them.

    Site survey

    4 500 UAH

    Site report covering soil texture, pH, slope, aspect and drainage. Plot area logged in sotok, hardiness zone recorded as 5b across most of Kyiv oblast or 6a on sheltered south walls. The winter visit repeats the drainage check after leaf fall.

  2. 02

    Garden design

    from 26 000 UAH

    Planting plan at 1:100, a botanical palette of six to twelve species listed by Latin name, irrigation schematic, and a phased budget for the whole plot. Drainage correction findings from the survey drive the palette, not a stock look.

  3. 03

    Planting

    from 240 UAH per m²

    Soil correction matched to the drainage finding. Stock size ranges supplied as container C2 to C5, bare-root whips 60 to 80 cm, and specimen trees 5 to 7 m. Mulch, stakes and ties are included in the rate.

    40% on order, 30% on delivery, 30% after handover
  4. 04

    First-season establishment

    from 2 400 UAH per month

    Twelve visits across one growing season: watering schedule, mulch top-up, stake and tie checks, and replacement of container stock that fails inside the 12 month claim window. Plots up to 10 sotok; larger plots are quoted per visit.

Winter survival cannot be promised, and the claim window covers container stock only. The full limit list sits under exclusions, and published garden records show what the studio has planted in this zone.

Scope boundaries

What a planting contract does not include

Every planting agreement we sign carries an attached scope schedule. The two lists below are copied from it, so no client discovers a boundary after the excavator arrives on site.

Work outside the planting scope

  • Structural and utility works. Retaining walls above 600 mm, drainage mains, irrigation mains, electrical supply, septic and gas runs stay with licensed contractors.
  • Hard landscaping. Paving, kerbs, steps, decking and fencing are quoted separately.
  • Removal of mature trees. Felling, stump grinding and root barriers sit outside planting and require a separate permit.
  • Lawn establishment from seed. Turf and seeded lawn are excluded unless specified as a line item.
  • Water supply on site. The client provides a working tap or tanker access within 30 m of each bed.

Warranty exclusions

  • Winter survival. Establishment support runs 12 months from planting. It does not promise survival through a winter outside the recorded hardiness zone.
  • Drainage correction after handover. Where the site report recorded a correction need and the client declined it, replacements are chargeable.
  • Damage by third parties. Construction traffic, pets, mowers, string trimmers and play equipment are not covered.
  • Altered irrigation. Changes to the commissioned schedule without our approval void coverage on the affected beds.
  • Chemical applications. Herbicide or fertiliser applied by others, including weed-and-feed products.

Replacement terms Claimable losses are replaced once, at the same species and size class, during the next planting window. Book a site survey before signing if any boundary above is unclear.

Order of works

Nothing is planted before the site report is signed

Six stages run in a fixed order on every commission. Each stage closes with a document you keep.

  1. 01

    Paid site survey and soil report

    Weeks 1-2 · survey fee 4 500 UAH

    Soil texture, pH, slope and aspect, plus a drainage test on the plot. Readings are taken in summer sun and again in winter. The fee is credited against the design fee within 60 days.

  2. 02

    Planting plan and specification

    Weeks 3-6

    No plant is named until the report is signed. The palette lists six to ten botanical species, each matched to the recorded pH, drainage and hardiness zone, from 5b in Kyiv oblast to 6a on sheltered ground above 350 m in Lviv oblast.

  3. 03

    Soil correction, drainage and grading

    August to October

    Subsoil loosening, drainage correction where the plot sits in a new cottage settlement, imported topsoil, and final levels set to fall away from the house.

  4. 04

    Hardscape and lighting

    October

    Kerbs, paths, retaining edges and low-voltage lighting are installed and tested before a single plant goes into the ground.

  5. 05

    Planting

    Late October or April · 40/30/30

    Payment follows delivery: 40 percent on contract, 30 percent when the plants arrive on site, 30 percent after the first establishment year.

  6. 06

    First establishment year

    Months 12-24

    Watering schedule, stake and tie checks, and replacement of failed plants inside the warranty claim window. Winter survival cannot be promised, and the studio does not sell ongoing maintenance contracts.

Stage 01, before the palette

No plant is named until the ground is read.

The survey records soil texture, pH, slope and aspect, measured across summer and winter. It is the only document that decides what gets planted, and the 4 500 UAH fee is credited against the design fee within 60 days.
